Avengers x Mutant!Reader x X-Men Part 2

You stood in a large meeting room with the X-Men and the Avengers. You were all waiting for Fury to arrive so he could tell you what he had found out about the people that had taken your sister and son.

You weren’t left waiting for long as not ten minutes after you got there did Fury show his eye patched face. He looked almost grim, like something about the information had left a bad taste in his mouth.

He stood at the end of the long table in the room and started speaking. “I have new information about the organization that took (Y/N)’s sister and son. They call themselves M.E.A.T, or Mutant Experimentation and Annihilation Team. They took them to a warehouse in the fishing district. We believe they’re holding them till they can be picked up, by whom or what we don’t know” he spoke simply and got straight to the point.

As soon as you heard the name you recognized it. “I know them. They have been following my sister and I since we were born…Our dad called them…He always hated mutants” you explained looking at the shiny surface of the table sadly.

Rouge placed a gloved hand on your shoulder. “We’ll get them back. Don’t worry” she said with a light squeeze of your shoulder. “When do we leave?” Pietro asked in his quick manner. “You have been authorized to retrieve them tonight” Fury said as he went to walk out of the room. “Let’s start making a game plan then” Logan gruffed leaning against the window that made up the far wall.

~*~*~* Time Skip *~*~*~

You stood in the living room of Stark Tower waiting for the others to finish getting ready. You looked out the window at the city. As the sun went down the city lights got brighter. “Nervous?” a voice asked behind you. You looked over your shoulder to see Bobby slowly making his way to stand next to you. “Yeah. But I’m still excited. I get to see my sister and son” you said with a happy smile, your true age showing through. Bobby smiled and looked out the window. “It’s beautiful” he said with a fond smile on his face.

Not long after that the others joined you. “Are we all clear on the plan?” Tony asked after he lifted the mask of his helmet. A string of ‘yes’s and nods were seen and heard before you all left the building.

~*~*~* Time Skip *~*~*~

You stood outside the warehouse with Bobby, Kitty, and Rouge waiting for the order to go in. You could hear the sounds from within, among which you could hear your sister’s whimpers and you could just barely hear the sound of your son’s heartbeat.

“Now!” Tony said though your ear piece. That was the order. You shifted into a raptor and charged in behind the others.

The Warehouse was mostly just a large empty room with a small office space off in the corner
of the room. In the center was your sister tied to a chair, she was beaten and bloody, and not far from her was a table that had your son wrapped in a blanket on it. Men in armor surrounded them. You roared and charged at the nearest man while Bobby froze some of them and Kitty and Rouge tag teamed to knock them out.

You tuned the world out as you attacked whoever was near, only vaguely aware that the X-Men and Avengers were there. You roared as you charged another man, ramming your head into his chest and sending him flying into the wall, effectively knocking him out. You looked around and found that all of them had been knocked out.

You shifted back to your human form and ran to you sister, untying her. She stood quickly and hugged you. Then you ran to the table and picked up the small green brown egg that sat wrapped in a blanket, you hugged it and kissed it lightly as you let out a happy trilling noise.

Then you heard the sound of a gun cocking and your sister gasped. Your eyes widened and you looked behind you to see the leader was pointing a gun at your head. You handed your son off to your sister and slowly raised your hands in a surrendering manner. “Did you really think it would be that easy?” he asked with sarcasm lacing his voice heavily. “No…That’s why Steve taught me this…” you said with a shrug. “Wha-?” he never finished his sentence because you disarmed him and hit him with the handle of the gun hard enough to knock him out and leave a nice bruise. You took (boy name) back from Animiko “Thank you Mimi” you said hugging her once more.

They took you back to Stark Tower and you all went to bed. You slept in the same bed as Animiko, with your son wrapped happily in your arms.

The next morning you woke to a cracking sound next to you. You opened your eyes to see that (boy name) was hatching. You gasped happily. “Mimi? Wake up!” you shook her shoulder and got up to call the others. “Wake up! Wake up!” you called down the hallway and moments later a few tired faces peaked out of the rooms. “What’s going on?” Steve asked as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. “(boy name)’s hatching!” you answered joyfully. All traces sleep left his face as he ran down the hall to your door, the others following not far behind.

You watched and waited as he kicked his way through the shell. “Come on baby…Come on” you encouraged quietly. Then he broke through with a cry. You gasped and laughed as joyful tears ran down your cheeks. You wrapped him in a blanket and help him close. He had (color) eyes and (color) hair. “He’s amazing (Y/N)” Kitty said looking down at him. “Would ya look at that...” Tony said with a small smile. “He’s beautiful” Storm said as she placed a light hand on his head.

~*~*~* Small Time Skip *~*~*~

Later that day you all stood in the meeting room. “Now that we have your sister and son back you have a few options, as does your sister. You could come live with us at The Institute” Storm said before looking to Fury. “Or you can stay here and be an Avenger” he finished for her. You looked to your sister “Where are you going?” you asked curiously. “I’m going with the X-Men” she answered smiling at Storm.

You thought for a moment then came to a conclusion. “I’ll stay with Avengers” you decided with a childlike smile. “You can come visit any time you want” Rouge said with a nod. You nodded back and smiled at Steve and the other Avengers.

~*~*~* One Year Time Skip *~*~*~

“(boy name)! If I have to tell you to tell you calm down one more time you’re going in time-out!” you called to the now 1-year-old (boy name), though he looks 5 years old. You sighed and smiled at him as he ran over to Thor, who was sitting on the couch, and hugged him. “Uncle Thor! Tell me a story!” he all but begged. Thor let out a loud laugh and placed a hand on (boy name)s head. “Of course little one” he said before starting a story from his youth. You just smiled and shook your head.

It may have been rough along the way but, in the end, everything turned out ok.
