...Then Feeling, Is What They Get!This is an all pencil project Iv'e been working on since around May. I was inspired to do this after seeing Turnstile for the first time at Masquerade here in Atlanta. The group was currently touring to support their new album "Nonstop Feeling" It was a really crazy show! So crazy I even got a bruise underneath my left eye. But that's another story...
Hope you all had a great 4th of July!

Hey I am stopping in from and I thought I might share my opinion of your work. Well, it's pretty damn awesome! To be honest it would be difficult to find anything negative with this drawing. I perused your gallery and you know what you are doing. You have mad talent. So this critique will basically be nothing but positives heaped on positives.
The cartoon style you employ is fabulously entertaining. To find your own unique style is a gift. You've really made it work. This drawing like so many of your drawings is filled with energy. You can sense the motion of the characters and the energy of the drawing in the linework and shading. I admire how you have given each individual in the crowd their own look. You get the sense that this concert is a wild one just by the reactions of the crowd. For me, the guy people surfing on the right really stands out. I just love his expression. And then there's the fella completely upside down. Wow, what happened there? Hilarious though. There's so much detail. I imagine you didn't use a reference for this which makes it more impressive. The perspective is spot on. It's like we the viewer are the lead guitarist or drummer and we are looking at the front man reel in the crazed crowd. You've thrown a few pieces of litter on the stage to indicate more mayhem. The scribbled in black background again adds to the energy of the drawing and makes the frenzied crowd leap from the paper. The dumbbells' throw me a bit but I'm sure they have more to do with the band than anything else. Looking at the drawing I'm guessing this wasn't a ladies night out kind of concert.
The drawing is flat out terrific.
Great work. Have a great day.

Thanks for the well written review!
I really enjoyed drawing this one! This is one among a couple of my favorite pieces that I may consider on redoing in the future. I am glad to know there isn't any flaws too glaring that could detract from the overall piece.
Also, that dumbbell at the bottom of the piece is supposed to be part of a microphone stand. But that's from me not using a reference, even though I really should have used one.
Once again, thank you!

Well now I feel like the dumbbell. I see it now. Had I thought it through I probably would have seen it. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a concert.
It was my pleasure.
