I don't recall Dante being in Playstation All Stars Battle Royale and DmC DMC. That is just some crackhead dressing up and failing to act even remotely close to the original Dante.

It's because he has a about 10 year difference in each game DMC 3-1-4-2 in chronological order & His clothes change.Then from half of the games he's featured in has either DMC1,DMC2,DMC3 Dante but not the DMC4 Dante & there's the reboot Dante who's just featured in PS All Stars.......

Don't forget the DMC anime which took place between 1 and 4, explaining how Lady and Trish first met in ep 4. In it, Dante wore his DMC1 attire, but wields Rebellion instead of Alastor, his hair is closer to DMC3 Dante's, and he acted close to DMC2 Dante. The anime was the only time he used profanity in almost every episode, like he muttered "Shit!" in ep 2 after losing his bet on Lady that if she can put the 8-ball in the corner pocket, then Dante had to take her demon-hunting job, in which she did so he had to take it; in ep 7, he called the prison warden a "pudgy-fuck".
It's a good thing DMC3 Dante is in U/MvC3, DMC Anime Dante in Project X Zone, and DmC Dante is in PSASBR so that they have their own crossover environments. In U/MvC3, DMC3 Dante is rivaled against Deadpool. In PxZ, DMC Anime Dante is partnered with Darkstalkers' own Dmitri Yuriev. In PSASBR, DmC Dante is rivaled against Heavenly Sword's Nariko (Both DmC and HS are developed by Ninja Theory).
I also noticed that Dante comes off as a different person from game to game. It was like he was rebooted every single time. I said this because he was interpreted differently. After DMC1 Dante, which is Hideki Kamiya's own interpretation of him, two dev teams (Capcom's own DMC dev team and Ninja Theory with Capcom's assistance) made different iterations of him. I get what Kamiya-san said in his Twitter about "Dante has changed"!

I've never seen the DMC Anime
& yes I know that Heavenly Sword and Devil May Cry Reboot are both made by Ninja Theory
I actually like the new Dante at first I didn't but when I played Ps All Stars I got used to him but still like the original/classic (real) Dante much better

Should see it. It's been out for a long time before DMC4 could even come out. And it's dubbed (Reuben Langdon does Dante there).
A user over DevilMayCry.org forums pointed out that DMC3 Dante and DmC Dante are just two sides of the same coin. They both have a character development which goes from "I don't care" to "Now I know what's worth fighting for".
There is no "old" or "new" Dante... Just different iterations of him, that's all...

Just saying my thoughts on each "Dante" now. Sorry for the confusion.
I understand you didn't like him at first, but you decided to take a liking to him. I see... For a moment there, I thought you didn't...

To be honest no one actullay liked the reboot Dante at first because of the way he looked nothing like the orignal Dante & his attidtude was a 12 years old's idea of cool but like you said he has to sides of the coin "I don't care" to Now I know what's worth fighting for" but the orignal Dante attidude was a flirty like "I'll catch you later" which no one could hate, but the reboot Dante attitude was a 12 years old attitude like "fuck you".....
