Name: Reiana "Reia" Latanna Atmaru

Once, not too long ago, a human man and his sister travelled from afar and ended up on a large, prosperous moon world called Atmaru, which circled a gas giant. The man was searching for two things: The mythical planet Earth, said to be the birthplace of Humans, and the one treasure that was rumoured to have been locked away by the legendary Captain Flint, instead of hoarded on Treasure Planet. The man had a small necklace rumoured to be the key to this treasure trove, and it had led him here.
But as luck would have it, he also found another type of treasure on Atmaru. He met and fell in love with a beautiful Atumarian princess, sister of the reigning king. His sister, in turn, fell in love with the king, and the two couples were married. But while the man and his wife prospered and had two children, the new Queen died after only a few years, leaving the king heartbroken and childless. He adopted his younger sisters' family as somewhat of his own, and they lived quite happily for a few years.
But the lure of being a Spacer had never left the human man, and he happily shared stories of his dreams and adventures with the younger of his children, his daughter, named Reia. Far from being a quiet little Princess, she too dreamed of adventure out in the stars.
Then one day, the man decided to head out and find Flint's Other Treasure. Despite the protests of his wife, he still went ahead with it, and before he left, he gave the necklace to his daughter.
But he never returned. Presumed dead, his family grieved, and had to live on. This made Reia even more determined to travel the galaxy as a spacer, and, again, despite the protests of her mother, the now teenaged Reia headed for the Interstellar Academy.
But little did she know that a chance enounter with (and falling on) a fellow student would lead her to the answers she had long sought and lead to her dream...
