Hello there, y'all. It's winter break and that means I actually have time to DO ART STUFF. YAY. This is that one annoying comic I've been idley working on sporatically since.. what, April? T__T
In response to a lot of silliness I've witnessed over the years in the interbutt art world. I wanted to make fun of certain people who've made me laugh with all their ARTDRAMA. Popular art dramaaaaa!! Deviantart is like E! for artists, I swear. >__>

I believe you earn a style by drawing throughout all your life experiences. Styles are developing and changing all the time, just like people. They never stop. Your style is who you are, and even if people can copy it, they'll never come close to being you.
If you're offended by this, you are very very silly and missing the point of this comic. =/

Mwah! This kicks so many kinds of ass even my own ass feels kicked. I suppose this demonstrates one of the downsides to art communities - with so many artists wanting to share their stuff with the world while at the same time being immensely posessive of their characters and their 'styles', style-wars are bound to break out.

Anyway. This is fantastic. I love how you openly poke fun at people who are all [Don't steal my styyyle D:] and stuff. You're fantastic. The Naga/furry panel really amuses me. And all the crazy backgrounds. Seriously, nice work. And the cute little ending with IHD. Nice!

Oh my god...so much wonderful delicious LULZ. I'm having a fucking giggling fit over here! I fully agree with your commentary on panels 2-4. So much truth. I have to say that JV has THE worst fanbase ever. On the one hand, you've got the ditzy fans who totally misinterpret his stuff (Horny slash fans, I'm looking at YOU). On the other, you've got all the hardcore fans who take every damn word out of his mouth to heart.
And GODDAMN, check out panel 5! That looks like it too some work. I'm not that familiar with the jennadelle drama (I've heard a teensy bit about it), but 21 gun salutes to you anyway.

This made me cry and laugh all at once. When I first click the link I didnt know what to expect! And I read the comic before your description so I was like
"..... What the... Why the horrible JV style! -- oh jesus chirst its a naga.... AND A LION KING THING... And that person... Who draws the no necks?? And wtttttfffff?{??( didnt realize it was supposed to be Jennadele right awayuntill I read and it made sense)"
Haha. I mean, its all fun and stuff, I dont get the Naga things either... I mean... Im sure the person that draws it might be a good individual and nice all and all, but her art style is left to be desired its very static and unchanging from what Ive seen. And her whole fascination with pregnant men naga things is a tad bit too weird for me along with her Snape love kawaii thing...

JV is JV. I mean, hes not the be all and see all for comics! Most people who grow adoreness over Jhonen comic turn their nose to like, Becky Cloonan, or other fantastic comics! Just because of the style! I think going around the internet one time, I read a small interview that some individual did with Jhonen when she met him at con, and its obvious he goes internetting hmself, she ask him a question like "What do you think of Invader Zim slash and porn with Zim & Dib?" and his response was ".... My ill-prone tummy..." Yet most die-hard fan draw so much of it.... Or like, alien version fo themselves dating Zim or something.... Uhhh.... He has a style thats amusing and a little interesting for the first time, but I dont think his art is like, the best thing Ive ever seen...

Omg that panel was such a pain in the ass. XD My coloring style is NOTHING remotely like Jennadelle's so that was interesting to mimic. The glowsticks and random glowstick trails were fun though. OH THE GLOW

Actually he IS a total whiner and baby if you read his LJ (which is a very entertaining read regardless). And if you compare the ZIM commentary to his attitude towards ZIM now that it's been canceled, you'll notice the total 180 he did. He DID like ZIM a lot and had a lot of fun making it, but then when it was canceled he turned into a total baby, "I hate this show and I never liked it anyway! *huff*" or whatever.
Also, you can't deny that he's kind of been lazily riding the ZIM merchandise train ever since (thanks to Hot Topic, which he also hates..?). I'll stop calling him a WHINER when he comes out with something new (Filler Bunny comics do not count). Till then, he's stale bread. 9__9
Don't get me wrong, I like JV too and I never said he was bad, but one can only take so much shit regardless of how interesting an artist is.

hmmm... true... But he just doesn't want his fans feeling bad for him because something he LIKED got shut down. I mean. he gets enough sympathy for his JTHM comics with people saying "Oh you want to kill yourself. that's ok i'm the same way sometimes to" So he doesn't want people feeling bad for him because of something like that again so he's all "ugh... I hate this show" he actually never even thought it would go past the pilot LOL!

Wow dude. You are INSANELY good at mimicking styles. I'm extremely impressed. When looking through this, I was thinking "maybe she had a contest or something and got people to make each frame like a collaboration." but looking at three, I figured you weren't that low to take a shitty looking CGed picture like that. Haha, you did so well making it look like one of those kids that think they're really good or something.
Some of these people just really make me roll my eyes. Mostly ^delya and *snapesnogger . They don't even have any skill to begin with to be worrying about people copying them. Who cares? Your art sucks anyways and the people copying you aren't going to go anywhere just as they are not as well. Their presence at DA itself makes it wreak with their stale, hideous, and boring styles.
Panel five is extremely impressive as well. Very different from your style, but you did so well. 
HA, and the JTHM/JV fans? They normally don't get that far in their skill to manage to do a picture like that. That's the sad part.
Ahhhh, and the last frame just makes me smile. Very sweet. ^^

I'm not a big fan of any of the new Star Wars movies, so I certainly don't hang around for that (as cool as you've made me believe Grevious is). You're ballsy and brilliant, and this proves my point.
I couldn't help but LOL at several of the styles, because my roommate and I have rants about some of the same subjects you just touched on. Vast duplications of the same style is downright dull.
