Hello there, y'all. It's winter break and that means I actually have time to DO ART STUFF. YAY. This is that one annoying comic I've been idley working on sporatically since.. what, April? T__T
In response to a lot of silliness I've witnessed over the years in the interbutt art world. I wanted to make fun of certain people who've made me laugh with all their ARTDRAMA. Popular art dramaaaaa!! Deviantart is like E! for artists, I swear. >__>

I believe you earn a style by drawing throughout all your life experiences. Styles are developing and changing all the time, just like people. They never stop. Your style is who you are, and even if people can copy it, they'll never come close to being you.
If you're offended by this, you are very very silly and missing the point of this comic. =/

XD Oh dear God, I loved all the styles on here! Especially the potatoe ppl style in the last panel. I cracked up when I read that the 2nd panel was Invader Zim style and saw that it was! XD Well, this comic is totally awsome!

I've seen people get way too worked up over other people having similar styles, and in some cases, it causes mass mayhem.

I've seen a couple of your Grievous comics, and I love them, but this one takes the cake! I used to follow snapesnogger's art like a love-sick puppy until she got all antsy about it all. She complained all the frickin' time and just was annoying as a person and showed it through her art that never changes at all. She grew boring, like all fads do. Even making fun of her grew boring after awhile. I don't know much about delya, but I think it's dumb to not draw something just because you aren't good at it and claim it's "Your style." Or to copy someone else's and claim it's yours. Very silly. But I have to say the Dragon!Grievous is very, very cool!

The thing I love most is the jennadelle-like panel. I see so many people copy her, and they're all really popular on DA. It's like, if you draw like jenna, it's instant e-fame regardless of how bad the art is. Fucking ridiculous.
Same goes with a lot of styles too I'm sure, but I just get more pissed off about the aforementioned one.
I'm impressed with how you accurately used all the different peoples styles, you did a good job of that. They're all recognizable.
As for a style is your own thing...that's definitely true. I used to think too hard about what my style was and I wanted to improve it, so then I ended up consciously changing it. Bad move.
I guess it just grows as you grow and there's no use forcing it and other such pseudo-intellectual garbage.

Ouch! The spank heard round the world!! LOL. I too was a little confused but as I read along I got it (duh I'm such a genius..) I'm not familiar with all these styles, but a couple really stand out such as the 'hot topic furries'. I don't think any one person can claim them as they are everywhere! I thought the green winged kitty was a sort of neopet, another popular draw magnet. Nagas? Hmm, yes they seem to be the new 'taur' in town. I don't know if they are an 'unhealthy fascination', but they are strangely popular. Fascinations that bug me lean more to the 'inflation' and 'vore' and urg...'rebirthing' craze. (and if any of you artists of this nature are reading this, I'm not putting you down. Viva creativity. It just skeezes me out personally.)
I realize the dragon in panel 5 is suppost to be lampooning a style, but I have to say that its quite beautiful, Grievous looking or not. I like a lot of color, and I can't remember the title of the work, but I saved one of yours that featured a dragons toothy headshot with lots of bright color. Love that one.

I kinda know how you feel about the Grievous love. People are pretty much y-eskii-illwhatthehellarethoseandwhocares??? about my other work. That's ok for me , they're more for myself than anyone else. You will always have people who appreciate the whole spectrum of art that you put out, but yes fanart followers are the bigger bunch it seems.
Great comic, one with lots of thought put into it. Gods knows I've been buzzed by the 'you ripped off my style' fairy.

It took me a while to get your point but now that I see it I would have to agree. Mind you I've never really seen any of this "artdrama" but if people are making a big deal that their art style is being stolen then you certaintly drove your point home.
People copy art styles everyday in fact most of us started off that way, just copying someone else's work to get the basics down.
One side thing though is that you have to admit evana's art is pretty amazing. She has a beautiful style that probably took a long time to develope.
Oh and btw, you are very talented to mimic all those art styles so well!

Anyway... very cute comic overall, you did a great job adapting other people's styles and it was well done to boot. And you're right, unfortunately a lot of artists don't realize that very few ideas can be considered new anymore, and that they are actually doing the very thing they accuse other's of doing themselves.

Panel 1: Thank God! I was beginning to think no one even figured that out! I've hated the fact that most popular artists don't even have a real character. Bleedman is the biggest example for this spot to me. He's made comics that have Anime versions of famous cartoon characters. Although he would have made it far on his skills of art (least his own style) I still feel like he's cheated himself in popularity.
I try to stay away from fanart. Just the fact I want to know the people actually like me. Though it seems like a large amount of characters I have for some reason appear as another character. Commander Cybot is called Grievous because of many similarities. Sadly both are sword fighters, military leaders, and 4 arms. Let alone the fact both keep the appearance of robots. Coincidence? I honestly think it was, but no one would believe me, it's hard to look at all those similarities and say they were both original. Many characters of mine hold wierd similarities oddly. Though sometimes things like this come in handy.
Panel 2: The style is warped and strange. I do like the style but it seems to have become overdone. JV is a baby? I didn't know about that. Thanks for the Info
Panel 3: Snapesnogger's art doesn't facinate me but it's ok. I don't really like Nagas, they look like Mermaids with no fins to me.
Panel 4: Looks like Rayman Syndrome to me. I've always looked at no neck people as a Rayman. Pitty about the Sonic thing, his style is a tad overdone too.
Panel 5: That is a good style. Really like it but I can't think of an artist that draws like that. Seems to be a realistic anime mix
Panel 6: Chibi, 9 year old like art. Highly cute.
