Entry for the second round of the 2018
I barely made it, I had a crappy month everythingwise.
This round was about creating a sleep wear outfit. Mirva had a gorgeous sleeping gown planned, with a feathery robe and the whole production (make up, hair, high heels etc.), as always. So I sneaked to her when she was actually relaxing and drew this. I wanted to find her having a very private and vulnerable moment and expose it to the world.
Ok, so this is Mirva in her most comfy jammies. Just a simple, long, sleeveless shirt and sheer, loose pyjama pants. A bit of frill here and there and Rejlans smelly old shirt thrown on to top it all off.
She has her hair rolls on, no makeup, no glamorous feathers or furs. Just Mirva, curled on her tree, surrounded by her loved one scent. She is relaxed and serene... at least up to the moment she sees that I posted this as the entry for the pageant.
She has just one little star on her outfit but there are more in the background, and even though they are not hidden, there is a little surprise about them (it's an astronomy buff level surprise, but it's there).

This is a gorgeous entry. Mirva looks so peaceful... even in the comfy but practical sleepwear, her posing and the setting invokes an otherworldly vibe. And the star frame is lovely.

This is pretty stunning. I love the framing, with the stars worked into the arch above and the rocks below. The tree centers it all beautifully, forming a lovely cradle for Mirva. She looks very much one with nature there, and very much at peace. And those desaturated colors contribute to the peaceful feel of it overall. Fantastic job!

Thank You so much for putting in the time to write such a nice and engaging comment. I'm happy that the frame got some good feedback I wasn't sure if I should leave it or not. I hate the tree, the tree gave me grief it utterly defeated me and I didn't gave it as much love as I planned in the beginning but it's ok. The colour palette is my favorite thing about this drawing so I'm very glad that You like it and that it contributes to the overall feel of the drawing.
You didn't manage to draw sporty Seito for this round :C No time or an utter art block? Me and Iisjah were so sad when we saw You are not in the final line up for round three.

I really do like it and I'm happy to see the amount of effort that went into it.
And yes, I blew it on the latest round. I'm pretty disappointed in myself for not getting something done on time. It was a combination of art block, end of Spring term pressures at school, and work-related stress. I have some designs in mind I might complete and share anyways, but I'm sad to not make it to the next round.

Thank You so much. I'm glad You like it, the colour scheme is one of my favourite things about this piece. One thing that bothers me is that I didn't have time to refine most of the details in the background.
