I have been enamored with A.B.A. since the moment I saw her. She's such a unique, creative, and striking character design. I just wish she had a larger role in the story :This was going to just be a pure black-and-white drawing, but I was playing with the blacks and got that nice gray and I was like "Wow, that actually looks way better." And then, of course, I couldn't resist coloring in her hair.
Apart from like one or two things that are bugging me, I actually really like this - I think it's one of my cooler pieces. I regret not being able to properly fit Paracelsus into frame, though. I tried, but it was not to be.
A.B.A. is (c) Daisuke Ishiwatari/Arc System Works. Can't wait to see what she's up to in Xrd Sign!

posted this on his tumblr and I knew I had to come here and say something about it.
First thing I need to say is that I really like your style, specifically in this piece. The black and white looks great and the gray you used for the sky adds a lot to this. It would've looked much plainer with just a white sky. The stylized shape of the moon is also something I'm really liking.
And I gotta agree with you on A.B.A.'s design. I'm not a huge fan of Guilty Gear (it suffers the same thing as Blazblue for me where I just can't get good at it no matter what) but her appearance was something that interested me as soon as I saw her. Never really seen anything quite like it.

Whoa, I'll have to thank him for plugging me then! And thank you for the kind words! Yeah, I've always liked drawing the moon with straight lines. I dunno why, I just think it looks cool.
I'm no good at Guilty Gear either, actually - I just play it because I love the character designs and the music. It's a bit too hardcore for me to seriously get into, though!

Ah, that makes sense. That's the same reason I stuck with Blazblue until I beat it. I'd probably be able to do the same for Guilty Gear but I've never really had the chance to actually own any of the games. I've mostly played it in the arcades or at friends' houses.

This actually reminds me of this one insanely talented Flash artist on Newgrounds.com, the color use, lines and overall feeling.
But the quality and the lovely spunky style's all you, guaranteed R.Z. awesomeness. ^_^

Ooo, that did turn out very nice! This might be your best one in awhile. 
The greyscale does look cool and the background is especially good. Very nice job on the pose for A.B.A. too!
