I had very little experience drawing robots beforehand, but this was a challenge to be accepted.

BEN is a royal Navi droid. A pilot who has been on many travels and it's noticeable how time has left a mark on him, even on his internal memory, so he keeps physical star charts with him to make his job easier. Usually droids like him would have three "claws", but after some time, one of them was replaced with a mechanical hand that he protects with a glove.

This was an interesting project. It put to a test my skill with many tools and I see that I still need to improve or find more uses for some of them in each software I used for this. With a design based on RX-24 a.k.a "Captain Rex", at some points it was made somewhat easier and sometimes tricky to get the design right, especially the claw on the lower arm, as not very seen opening and closing, even on the original animatronics used at Disney amusement parks, so I went with what I saw on some fan animations and adapted it to the design. From what I understand, the name "BEN" is maybe a placeholder, and some of the inspiration came from another robot with the same name (BEN, from Treasure Planet), especially the cartoony expressiveness, that was one of the main points regarding the project.
