This past week has been so damn hot
And I'm still procrastinating, though half of this page was drawn just today so maybe that's a good sign? Did some actual "speedpainting" with the top left B&W stuff, starting off of nonsensical scribbles and just elaborating on whatever shapes I see. It's definitely something I want to do more often.
The squad™ in the bottom left was caused by that photo I saw on tumblr rema-rin.tumblr.com/post/17644…
Also, I think this is the first time I drew smoochings? Can't remember if I've drawn people kissing before, but it was quite nice

Seriously, I have to say you're one of my biggest inspirations on here.
There are loads of artists I look up to and feel inspired by but there's something about your art style, process video's, sketch dumps and your journey in animation that just triggers me to work equally hard.
Like instead of looking at a piece and admiring it and hoping I'm gonna be on the same level one day your work always makes me itch to do some animation exercises or study light/colors and just get to WORK!
I think it's because you show your hard work and we see it pay off. I mean look at the humans! Not that long ago you didn't even feel very confident in drawing people and then here we are and your humans have such a unique touch to them that just screams Remarin.
I've been dreading returning to school but as long as I keep striving to grow as much as you I'm getting that animation diploma next year no doubt!

Gosh!! I really appreciate that!! There's lots that can be achieved by simply being stubborn, and I'm overjoyed that my art can convey that sentiment to others!!!
I wish you only the bestest of luck for your next year, I'll be starting my own first year of studying animation this fall (honestly looking forward to having some routine back in my life :'> )

I always love seeing sketch dumps!!! They tell me so much about process and honestly are often more fun and expressive than finished pieces, in my humble opinion.
That top right doggo is making me think of when my father asked what our new wifi password should be and I responded, nonsensically, "BUTTS!" Forgot what context I was in for that moment... whoops, haha!

I really wish I had your technical skills. Do you look at any specific references or get any inspirations from anything? I'd love to learn how you do it!

I keep collections of artwork and photographies on my tumblr, but I generally try to rely mostly on the visual library I got in my head. Filling in blank spots with improvisation (<-which was certainly quite the struggle to do back when those blank spots were much larger and more frequent)
Learning art and improving technical skills is all a process that won't ever stop from progressing, so I recommend figuring out what learning process fits you best in the long run. Do you learn best after doing a bunch of study sketches regularly? Do you need to stare at the thing you're learning for a long while before understanding? Does studying exhaust you quickly? (<-I recommend trying then to connect the thing you're learning bit by bit with what you already enjoy drawing)

The kissing is very well done and very sweet! I'm terrible at drawing kissing. The head angles are a real problem for me, and the way the lips fit together often stumps me as well.
I also really like the face being smooshed, and the evil lady.
And that tumbler pic adaption you drew is spot on! Lol.

Ooooh, do I see Klimts "The Kiss" there, loving that artwork <3 People kissing are so tough to draw passionately for me. It often just looks like two "awkwardly touching faces" (as a friend called it once lol)
Also the bottom right lady is dope and the bottom left dudes are awesome. Even tho nothing beats the dog stick figures, tbh...
