Download for massive.Bout time I started cluttering up my gallery properly. So here, have some useless junk in your inbox.
At the top we have a Sil x Glow doodle for Dorei, because her birthday present proper is late. For which I am most sorry.
And some nagas, because I have SUCH a hankering lately. Beside that is my bearded lady character.
You heard me.
She still needs a proper name/history/etc. I am debating whether or not to put her in the role of stormwalker. In Zhatica, storms do not form and disperse, they migrate. There are individuals, "stormwalkers"(cheesy, I know, stfu) that spend their entire lives migrating in with these storms. They may literally never see the light of day. Because they don't want to. Angst angst baw baw *///wrists*
Which brings me back to the nagas. There are two kinds shown here: a feral and a noble. Feral nagas often live alone or in very small groups of two to three, tops. They scavenge in the desert and are often associated with vultures, whom they track to find carrion when they are desperate for food. Nobles are nagas born into the upper end of hierarchy in naga tribes, which can range from a few dozen to as many as a few hundred nagas. In one of the canyons of Zhatica, there is a massive city of them, which is where nobles of this particular sort are found--nobles that wear neck corsets.
I've been fascinated lately with extreme body modification of primitive cultures. In one culture, long, thin necks are considered extremely attractive, and so from a young age women will have slim rings of metal stacked round their necks to literally stretch them out.
As nagas are naturally attracted to long, slim, lithe shapes, I figured this sort of thing would be found in their culture. As they are slightly more modern, the nobles--both males and females do it--bind their necks in corsets.
Ultimately, the practice is only dangerous if after a lifetime of stretching someone were forced to live without the corset/rings. The neck is fine as long as it has the necessary support it has come to depend on.
Beyond that, some elf ears representing more extreme body modification--ear sculpting.
A random dragon doodle because I can. A doodle of PTDD MC, who has found himself a position as dovekeeper atop the cat woman's house, but we may actually get to that later, if I ever write more of it. A little deer person because Quad mentioned deer people over the stream. The daughter of a sphinx, a woman with half of a mask shaped like a demon's face bolted to her jaw, some Julian x Lyre because I am a horny bastard, the Timestress, another character of Engine Tree, possibly to be found in PTDD, some style experimentation manifested in a tiger. All my style experiments seem to turn up in tigers. I'm not sure why.
The Sphinx herself, and finally, Alphonse, my baby ball python, humanified a bit. Sleeping in a weird positions, because Al,
LIKE EVERY SINGLE DANG ONE OF MY ANIMALS SLEEPS IN A WEIRD POSITION.
I don't know how this keeps happening. It's like I draw them to me.
And now it's too fugging late again. Fuggery.
Night.

...Unless you're talking about the mask woman. In which case I suppose I could understand. She is meant to be scary.

But she isn't meant to be scary. It's just a clock, after all. Clocks aren't scary. :/
Yes, Jack. Yes you were.
