i meant detail overall. Not just the car.
this is cool, but its a sketch, 1 or 1.5 hour work. I do ones like this in small size before doing the actual big work, it helps.
try to spend like 40 hours on a drawing (color or bw), you'll be able to do something really cool I believe.

detail on what!? the car? The background took me a friggin eternity, trying to make it detailed.
The co-driver is there, he's just in the shadow so you cant see him.
Maybe I'll resize the picture so you can see a little more detail.

no. Track racing just doesnt cut it for me. Bigger engine or not. It's a circuit. Its memorised. There are no rocks, dust, wild animals, cliffs without barriers, amazing views. You have grandstands, concessions, convenient shade and probably some sort of a fence between you and the car, which is 50 meters away.
Find the opposite of everything I just listed, and that's a fraction of the excitement of rallying.

ok, yes. Having more power would be great. Going back to the days of Group B might be a bit of a stretch, but a little more power wouldnt hurt anyone.

highly doubtful that a focus and a stratos would be in the same rally...
Mind you, almost every year, someone enters an old mini.

Man, old Mini's are all over the place! I was over at a shop that sells Japan Surplus trucks looking to get something practical (yet cheap) to drive like a used Pajero or Delica 4WD when over at one corner they had this whole lot of Mini's still RHD fresh from Japan, 300k Pesos ($6000) for a near mint Cooper with a Rally set up and low milage (I guess they can't really put that much miles on a car in Tokyo given the traffic

I have drawn the stratos once or twice. Maybe I'll post a picture in my scraps sometime. Its not really good enough to go into my gallery.
