Remix here, to tell our story of Anime North! There were some pretty nice moments and a lot of walking, but we bought a lot of stuff, seen some pretty cool people, and it was all worthwhile. Here's how it happened...

It was the morning of Anime North. Me and my friends had been talking about it for about a week or two, and we were pretty psyched about going to our first convention together. We had money, we had a camera, but only one problem remained. We didnt have a ride there -_-' Most of us either havent taken our driving tests yet, or dont even have a car to drive. That lead to a problem. We called each other, talked it over, and came to the conclusion that we couldn't go. We were all pretty disapointed, but had to accept the fact that we weren't going.

I tried to make the best of the situation by playing Dark Cloud 2 (Which I recently borrowed from Kensu) to forget about AN. Then the phone rang, and speak of the devil it was Kensu. "Anime North is back On!". I was surprised to hear back so suddenly. Apparently Nasanryu pulled through for us! His Aunt was able to drive us, so we all packed up quickly and bolted out for the trip.

So we were driving to AN. I didn't know what to expect there. I had previously been to an Anime Convention before, but not as big as AN. Meanwhile, Kensu was checking his Trading Cards, Joe and Loopa were talking about Warhammer, Renaki was playing the newest Japanese Bleach game he had imported on his PSP. Me? I was enjoying the ride and thinking up what to write right now X3

About halfway there, I smelled something weird. Kinda like burning plastic or rubber. We just passed a construction site, so I didn't think there was anything to worry about. A few minutes later, (let's call Nasanryu's aunt Mrs. S) told us the brakes were acting weird. At full force the car was still moving >.> All we could do was pull by a community centre, step outside the car and watch the smoke pour out from the back of the car.

One hour-long panic scene later, we were lucky enough to get Nasanryu's mother and Renaki's uncle (who lived nearby) to drive us in groups the rest of the way. We arrived in the parking lot and stared in awe at all the amazing costumes and people walking around us! People dressed up as every character under the anime sun! A box of pocky, a cardboard cutout of Will Smith's face (ROFL), pacman, and many more!

We met up and immediently went into the convention. We wanted to see everything, but only had the one day to go, so we had to cut out a lot of the attractions. I also read that Scott from VGcats would be there, but sadly I didnt get to see him :< Though I made up for that by being the camera whore! I took pictures of every familier character I could find. By that time, I couldnt buy anything. There were way to many photo op's @.@

I did get a chance to buy my own things though. After we broke for lunch at the nearby Harvey's, I bought a bunch of souvenirs. In a run-down, Loopa bought some anime, Joe bought some manga and a Goomba plushie, Kensu bought a bunch of Yu-Gi-Oh Boosters to supe up his deck (I know, the english turned the series to crap, but it's coming back where I live >.> ), Nasanryu bought some manga and "Asian Snacks" as we call them, Renaki bought a bunnie hat and a FREAKIN SWORD. At least he got a $30 discount from 170 >.> and it turns into a spear!
As for me, I bought the first and fan editions of DearS, the first 2 two issues of Mega Tokyo (GO READ IT ONLINE NOW!!!), a Naruto poster, and a Harro plushie!

Though by the time we were waiting for our rides at the front, I felt as If I was missing something...Ah HAH! To meet my favourite Anime Character! I quickly searched around, loe and behold, I found Sakura! I asked for a hug, she happily accepted. All her friends were like "WTF WHEREZ MINE?!". We all laughed. Kunoichi, w00t!

That made 4 hugs total. Yuna, Yuna's friend, random girl giving them out in the front, and Sakura! This pleased Remix :3

My mission complete, and our ride finally here, we all left Anime North Happy and full of junk. Thus this story comes to a close...Until next AN! Then we're gonna browse the hentai section for a bit, ROFL. Later!
