It was the last full week of school. The weather had been hot and muggy since the week had started.

The students had worked really hard that year. They had to catch up on all the work that had not been presented to them since the pandemic started.

Everyone was looking forward to the start of summer vacation, but there was still work to catch up on.

Some students in the higher grades were assigned to help younger students from third grade down to kindergarten.

Remy had been assigned to assist one of the first graders.

Remy wasn't too thrilled about the idea of helping other students. He had no experience teaching, let alone younger kids.

But he had only a week of school left, so he decided to make the best of it.

Rich, the cat, was Remy's pupil. He needed some help with his history.

History was one of Remy's best subjects. He felt a little more relaxed teaching something he was good at.

That afternoon, he went over to Rich's schoolroom and sat down with him.

They talked for some time and got to know one another.

Once they got down to work, Remy did his best to help him with his history.

The topic was on the Middle Ages, something that they were both into.

Remy had a little trouble explaining certain events to Rich, but nevertheless he was mesmerized by the facts he was given.
