It's a dark series, almost Batman-like in its wonderful palette of blacks and dark hues. The challenge is avoiding it from becoming too dark, where all you see is black it becomes hard to pick shapes and themes out of the inky wash of darkness. I don't want a stark Noir feeling either, although Noir elements are present, there is a blurring and mixing of shadows and darkness that I want in order to communicate a muddled and murky sense of despair.
