Nice. but the Ammo, does not look right. It likes WW1-type Rounded nose ammo. Before the pointy type. The Spitzer round, developed by the Germans in WW1. Still cool! WW1 Ammo, was better. MORE IMPACT Stopping power.

To be honest, This model is great.
The only thing is that the slug on that shell looks quite big.

I just cama back from firing this gun with a friend. It was awesome. I even had the scope in the face. It does hurt.

I'm pretty sure that is the way the scopes used to be and probably still are. It's a curious feature of the scoped mosin-nagant and I would like to know why it is angled to the right like that.

so you can recycle the bolt without having to take the scope off... a normal bolt would not be able to rechamber a round.

They made in ww1, what was called "Long eye relief" Scopes." they were mounted down the gun, right were the normal iron sights are. ALSO, this allowed for you do not need the scope. Very common featuere

hmm... is the bent bolt specific on scoped mosins, or did you just put that one in to replace a broken straight bolt?

Fantastic. As an owner of a Mosin Nagant I must say this is a awesome render. makes the 3D guns i have made look like crap.

This is a good rendition of the M1891/30 with PU optic. I like what you did to mount the rifle for display too, I think I will have to try to build something as nice out of wood to display mine.
Your metalwork is inconsistent - the bolt handle and bolt carrier assembly should be a bit more roughed up given the state of the rest of the rifle's metal. If the rifle is that roughed up I can practically guarantee the magazine floorplate (bottom of the magazine) will be as well. The shoulders of the 7.62x54R ammunition seem too steeply sloped, but I think this is a lighting issue and a familiarity issue: the Russians lacquered their military ammunition so it isn't shiny, and I haven't reloaded 7.62x54R brass in so long I forget what it looks like.

Ah yes, the dreaded gun that reaped the germans so much at stalingrad.
