Description
The SA-72 is a light armored vehicle. Highly mobile, the missile system is usually deployed as part of a base camp's air defenses against fighters and dropships however it is capable of being armed with a variety of munitions up to small tactical nuclear missiles. These are generally meant for limited use against space vessels in low orbit. The SA-72 is also small enough to usually evade detection from orbital surveillance, making it a nasty surprise for the unwary dropship crew making a descent from space.
An SA-72 is manned by two soldiers, a gunner who directs the firing computers and a driver who operates the vehicle as well as handling communications. Being that the SA-72 lacks any way to mount crew served weapons for up close defense, the missile truck itself is usually accompanied either by infantry support or a group of M997 Hellcats.
