Assignment one for TWD:
With Snowfire my obertaurer : as our first mount
and Jakob as the rider
-
Snowfire had always had a problem with being tied, and halters. In fact, most of the horses at BFM seemed to band together in the dislike of things on their faces, mainly due to the stable's halter being simple string, stopping them from getting used to it.
During the journey here Snowfire in particular had several fits over her halter, squealing and flicking her ears back like she was telling it to get off of her.
Once they arrived, Jakob thought it couldn't hurt to put a thin halter on, just to keep her quiet. He had things to do and he didn't want her bringing negative attention to them with her noises.
She seemed fine, for a while, and was content just watching the busy surroundings. However, eventually that got boring, and she wanted to do something, go say hello to other horses, get some sugar cubes maybe.
All this excitement and anticipation kept her fidgeting, turning her head around as far as the halter would let her, and observing everyone. She didn't want to miss any action.
She decided to occupy herself with something to eat, chomping down on a bit of hay and staring off into the distance. However, a horse making a ruckus caught her attention, and she spun her head round to take a look. Damn, STUPID HALTER! She huffed as she was pulled back by it again and pulled at it in a sudden burst of irritation.
To her surprise, there was a reasonably high pitched snapping sound and she was flying backwards. She took a moment to gain her bearings, and then realised that she had snapped the ropes. oh.
Well, I guess she should go find Jakob, ohhh but that person looks exciting, and so do they over there! She must go say hi!

Hmmm, I am not quite sure yet...I still gotta do a couple pictures before I officially arrive at the event. I was thinking about taking the risky routes when it comes to the prompts. I will note you when I figure more things out ^.^

I greatly admire your dedication to making such a fluid clip, like it's so dynamic and flows beautifully together!
Starfire is certainly an adorable bean, looks like she is intent on making her own adventure! ; D
I love how she eats the hay, and then sets back on the rope, what a stinker.
your shading and that background are just superb!

458 ^^
Although I must be honest, that was mainly due to the snow animation, I had them on 24 frames per second.
I had the snow on 'ones' and the rest of the animation on 'two's so that'd be 229 frames for the main animation

respect. greatest respect. recently did one with only 40 but photoshop nearly crashed, do you animate in PS?

A great majority of my animations are from PS, but recently I have diverged to a mix of photoshop and Adobe Animate.
I now usually do my background and rough sketch in photoshop, and then bring it in to Adobe Animate. For example here is what I did in photoshop
and then I imported it into Animate and made the second sketch
and then went back to photshop to do the background and imported it in to Animate
, I will now do the lineart and colouring in adobe animate, because it is better equipped for it. However, there are drawbacks, because Animate is Vector based, and I can't use any airbrush, textures or clipping masks in it making it hard to have natural designs. As you can see on my animation here, the character doesn't have any soft gradients on her, even though her actual design does. Ideally I would import the lineart back into photoshop and colour it as I did here:
but that took way too long and was not efficient. As well as the fact Photoshop started to lag a lot while I was working on that animation.
I kind of over explained that simple question haha, I tend to do that when talking about animation

haha, well I'm never happier than when I am animating ^^ I'd do it all the time if I could. The feeling as it slowly comes to life is just so satisfying!
Besides, it mostly only takes me a day or two to animate, apart from when I do animated short films.
This one in particular took me two days of relaxed work
