Description
This one is a tad early, I've had more time to draw now that finals are over. So King Caesar was an interesting guy to figure out. I kept him bipedal, so he can do his marital arts like he's supposed to. Some might say that since he's a shisa or foo dog/lion thingy and that he should be on four legs. Well...there's a reason the guys at Toho originally called him 'king' shisa. He stands head and shoulders above his fellow shisa's. Besides, how is he supposed to have any credibility to his name if the other two monsters with king in their name ( King Ghidorah, Godzilla is the 'king' of the monsters ) have to bend over to see him? His original legs were too humaniod so I made them anthromorphic. He could go on all fours if he wanted to, its just easier to deliver roundhouse kicks when your standing up . There is some heavy influence from ~GodzillaSamurai 's Neo verison. The colors and fur arrangement for one thing. I made the gem on his head red instead of green. A red eyed statue wakes him up, a red sun rises in the west...just keeping with the theme here. The background is my lame attempt to emulate sumei ink painting. Its the cove where the Mechagodzilla 1 was defeated for the first time and the mountain range on the left is where King Caesar spends most of his time hibernating. The red sun is rising and all that jazz.

King Caesar's bit of humor is derived from the internet phenomenon known as the lol cat. He's pretty feline looking so he gets to call it his own. I was originally going to use 'followerz' instead of 'movez' as King Caesar is one of the kaiju that have a religous following (i.e Mothra). But with his martial arts vibe, I thought 'movez' would suit him better.
