Introducing Piper! My newest RP original character created inside the "Mayhem" universe. I upload images connected to Mayhem often (relatively speaking), as some of my watchers might recall, but just to be sure everyone's informed I'll explain -- Mayhem is the table top role-playing game my awesome peeps created from scratch! I kept Piper's initial concept simple to begin with because it'd been a while since I rp'd. I didn't want to get too complicated and make it more frustrating than fun. Archery is the simple concept I started with. I wanted her to be a ridiculously good shot so she could potentially take out targets from long distances or pin them down with expert suppression fire. I settled on Piper before I hammered out the details so it wasn't till I was committed that I realized her name rhymed with her role. "Piper the sniper". While I find it amusing, I don't throw the rhyme around that often (don't want it catching on lol).

Anyway -- while she is primarily a bow user Piper is also a "soul thief". Something that does not help her already poor first impression with people. Soul Thief is an inherited family curse that allows her to steal small "slivers" of a targets soul when touched by her marked right hand. Targets don't suffer any adverse effects from having slivers of their soul stolen but it does cause discomfort and cannot be done without the target noticing. Stealing a soul sliver has a couple purposes: First it can grant the thief access to the target's surface knowledge & memories, skills, bonuses, and general state-of-mind. Its a great way to find spies, traitors or to get information out of tight lipped prisoners. Comes in handy even if it requires getting closer than Piper generally likes. But it is a curse, and it does come with a few drawbacks (besides making her an automatic social pariah). When she attempts to steal a sliver she must roll an autonomy check and if she doesn't roll high enough, the personality and memories of her target can overwhelm her own and take over her conscious - making her take on the personality other person. She could even switch loyalties temporarily should she fail the roll. As you can guess, that is always a pain for her companions and extremely confusing to her enemies. But beyond that, it makes Piper's head.....muddled. Confused. Sometimes crowded. So a lot of her quarks are due impart to a distorted sense-of-self. (Being strange from the get go this is just made her that much stranger, poor thing).

That leads in her personality - which is, in a word, eccentric. Wild. Unpredictable. Bitchy? She doesn't really get along with others and normally does her own thing however, she does like being in a party with others...it just doesn't always work out. In fact, it almost always ends in disbandment . Her current party is made up of a human mage with furryphobia and a cat-man who is oversexed powerhouse. Piper and the cat-man get a long quite well, they are always up to something strange or inappropriate. My favorite thing those two did was puppet some human skulls they found under a table in a mansion they were investigating. Their human counterpart tried to explain it was extremely disrespectful but Piper just shrugged, and with the skull in her hand, spoke in a raspy voice "only if I were human."

COMPLETELY FORGOT TO MENTION THIS: Her additional skills are origami and tagging (graffiti). So the tatoo on her arm is supposed to be origami cranes and a rose. Also, that's a sucker, not a cigarette. She likes hard candy. Suckers in particular.

I almost forgot to mention! She's a Tinek which is essentially a human with porcupine-ish physical appearances. Her quills can be removed and thrown like daggers and at higher levels she can expel all her spikes in a large area attack. (Friendly fire!) I specifically wanted to play a Tinek because once a upon a time I was heavily involved with the creation of Mayhem, and the Tinek were my idea. They're like my babies. I love them.
