An unfinished sketch of sorts. Started out being a sketch of Patty accidentally blowing his hair off and came out to be this since I couldn't make him look irritated.Hmm. Perhaps he sees Crona or something?
I'd really like some pointers on showing emotion and shading. I'm trying to get better.
Also, I CANNOT do Kid's facial structure or eyes for the life of me!!!

Hmm, you have an interesting drawing style. I like the shading and the line work but the line work should be cleaner and more crisp. Try using a sharper edged pencil (I like mechanical due to the very thin precise lines they make) also it would look nicer and cleaner if you make the line work stand out more by darkening the outlines. In particular the shading underneath the neck is quite nice and detailed. The shading is the main part that stands out as great since that is a very heard thing to portray, even for more experienced artists. The hair shine is super nice.
The shirt looks a little plain, I don't mean that you should add a bunch of zippers and whatnot if you don't want them but wrinkles would be really nice since all shirts aren't like..all crisp unless it was super starched to the stiffness of a stone. Wrinkles are really hard to pull off though T-T

Thanks! The hair shine is actually white stripes in his hair called Sanzu lines. The shirt is unfinished just because I was trying to use no reference and since this sketch is a work in progress. Yeah.... I started using mechanical after this one for my newest Crona sketch. I really like using it, I just have to learn to draw lighter so it soesn't leave lines of rifts in the paper. Lol.

Haha, thanks. Oddly, in my state of extreme exhaustion I forgot in mid-critique that it says 'Sketch in progress' so, sorry if I stated some things that you planned to do or criticized something that you aren't yet done with XD
