Description
These are Poads™. They are a minor character in my graphic novel, "The Veligent ". reptangle.deviantart.com/galle…I did this life sized poad sculpture for myself, as a model to draw from, and people seemed to like them! So we cast a small batch for fun, and sold them all instantly. Then we cast another batch...now I have lost count of how many poads we have sold.
These are about the size of a small guinea pig.
These individuals were a limited edition batch that we auctioned on Ebay, but regular edition Poads in various other colors sell for $80 -$100 in our online store: www.windstoneeditions.com/cata…
Poads have many interesting qualities, some of which are included as Poad facts on the "poad cards" that accompany the limited production sculptures.
(The lawyer says I have to say that the names "Poad" and "Reptangle" are trademarked by Melody Pena)

I painted these with a combination of airbrush stenciling and hand painting. Thank you!

These sculptures range from $80-100 from our online store. [link]
These "Lace poads(tm)" were part of a specially painted edition that was auctioned on ebay, so the prices were all over the place for these particular ones.

I don't remember how much these poads sold for, they were ebay pieces that were auctioned. We still have a few "production" poads in our online store. They are priced between $80 and $100.
I need to paint another batch of ones like these.
Thank you so much!

These are beautiful- their markings remind me of cobblestones, and they have a kind of skeletal look here too (spine/ribs.) Very organic looking. The detail in the feathery areas is fantastic too.

They are creatures I made up. They look somewhat like a guinea pig, with a parrot-like head, but they a have many interesting traits. They are a minor character from my always-been-working-on-but-never-published graphic novel "Reptangle"

I suddenly -very badly want to buy a poad. Is that a metal sheen design on their backs?

Yes, these are painted with metallic and interference paints, but they have been painted in many different styles, from natural, soft colors to wild, vivid colors.

You can get the little ™ symbol by holding down the ALT key on your keyboard and then typing 0153 on the key-pad (the numerical pad that is on its own on the right of the keyboard).

The Deviantart title won't let you use that symbol!
... and anyway I hate sticking the ™ after the names.
Its so ... litigious.

These are very, very beautiful. They are so cute too. The markings are absolutely gorgeous and believeable, they share similarity with amphibians especially in their shine however you can see the avian influence as well. I love their gorgeous eyes. The shape of their bodies is really cute and I love the variety of patterns. You are one talented artist with sculpture and especially with painting. I just love their feathery cheeks! I can see why these sell like hotcakes, they are great and look like they would make very cheerful paperweights for drawing outside in the sunshine on a breezy day.
