Description A llama hatching from an egg.
We never produced this one. The casting is gypsum and the ears are cast pewter. He has glass eyes. The egg is a little bigger than an ostrich egg.Llamas seem popular around here.

Really cute yeah, I don't know why people on dA like llamas so much, but they're definitely a big thing here. It's a little weird!

Lol, Ya Falcolf you n me both. I guess ppl obsess over them bc they are so unusual looking- like that of a mythical creature. I plainly love them bc they are amazingly loving creatures to raise. I've been raising them for 14+yrs and still love everything about them Cute llama sculpture Reptanglian! Btw, you would never believe how many people really ask me if llamas come from eggs' *Smashes head into wall* lol

Reptangle In reply to smellslikebiskits [2011-07-13 03:51:04 +0000 UTC]

Yes maybe. This piece is on my "FIND" list. When we find the mold , I'll see if we can make a few more. I sculpted another hatching llama that is smaller, (I have never photo'd it). Maybe that one would be a better choice as one to produce, cause this one is kinda big..

Yeah, I agree on the smaller one. It'd be easier to afford too. :3

wow...ostrich eggs are a pretty good size...I never had pictured it quite that large before! How tall is the entire piece to the tips of his ears?

Reptangle In reply to purplecatcreatives [2011-07-12 18:37:37 +0000 UTC]

He's about 11 inches tall.

It is really too big, that's one reason we never produced them.

Llamas come from eggs?!! Learn something new every day. Now I can confuse my wife by asking her which came first, the llama or the egg.
