I love the mix of realistic and goofy cartoon expressions. Genuinely, it makes me laugh and gives the comic a lot of character.

I sketch everyone out in "cartoon" style, then refine them one by one to
make them less goofy, but I kinda gave up on this page.

The art on this page is a mess. I did switch to 600 dpi half way through, because I watched a tutorial on drawing comics ( I figured it's time to learn how to do this) and the artist used 600.
600 dpi is good for lots of tiny detail work, like those on this page-from-hell. I am cleaning it up slowly, inch by inch.
I also switched "aspect ratios", so now the page is a bit taller.
Tutorials are dangerous things.

Indeed! Especially the contradicting tutorials... When I learned Photoshop and DTP in general, I had many of them that completely contradicted each other. And there were no Youtube and even internet then, but some privileged friends downloaded the stuff from bulletin boards... Since then it needs even more care to choose the suitable tutorial
And yes, even a good tutorial can make you do many things all over from the start again
