I LOVE this new world of yours! I have a couple of questions, but I'm sure they'll be answered as the comic progresses, so I'll save them. But wow, this is so original! And you have a wonderful sense of humour

There's a few plot holes that I have been trying to cover, but yeah , much of the backstory has been left out , and goes unexplained because The Veligent is a small ( but important) part of the larger story, and it fits somewhere in the middle of the whole thing!
Thank you so VERY MUCH for reading this!!

They take a flish (go potty?) in a plant, yet they know what Skittles are?? lol!

Maybe I'll change the word to "fush", I like that better.
"Skittles" is kind of an "in" joke on the Windstone forum. Several people need to take prescription medications for medical problems. They start some hilarious conversations. [link]

I was wondering why they were talking about flying fish. XD Since I thought "flish" was used in that context earlier as opposed to... poo. LOL

And I just figured maybe Lark was hiding some candies for himself. LOL

Yeah, I just made up that word on the spot. I need a better one. It refers to the food they were eating on the preceding page.. maybe that joke was too subtle. You know how some army food was refereed to as S.O.S.? Know what that stands for?

I'm assuming "save our stomachs"? I already know one of the alternate meanings for MRE (though I've heard the new MREs aren't nearly as bad as they used to be).

But yeah I think the joke would have been a bit more noticeable if we knew "flish" involved potty first. LOL

S.O.S. means $h!T on a shingle. Chipped beef on toast.

I was trying to make a joke that readers wouldn't get till the next page. I think if the word was more fitting somehow, it might work better...Maybe I will change it. This is why I love web comics, you can always go back and tweak stuff around!

What alternate meanings are there for "MRE" ?

Yup, that does pose a certain advantage. Of course, it means I'll have to go back and re-read the pages (oh, the horror!)

I know "skittles " can mean a bunch of different street drugs and stuff. This is really a pretty innocent comic!

Heck I didn't even know that xD Even without the understanding of the "inside joke", it's pretty funny
