Reptangle — llama skull sketches

Description Ok. Just for fun, I TRACED a photo I took of my llama skull in the same position as my sketch to see how far off my free hand sketch was.
It's pretty close but the nasal opening IS way too wide -and the nose is a bit off-and the occipital crest is too high... oh well.

That is such a great idea ! So often something will be off in my drawings ,but can not quite tell where i have messed up. Thank you for sharing this I will have to do that in the future to double cheek my drawings.

Feh. The freehand one has more character...more of an artsy fartsy look if you catch my drift. Plus, there are things your eye catches and that your mind's eye thinks are important details. Tracing is mechanical and cold. Eyeballing is warm and friendly....
