All animals should come with a snooze button installed.

They've got them! They just don't always work. Something more reliable would be nice.

Riding in the car was the only reliable method... as I recall.

Kiandra will often shut right down with a good backscratching. And the TV will turn her into a zombie if she's tired, but that's another matter entirely.

Cats kinda do, you know when you pick a kitten up by the scruff of the neck -they just go limp.

oh yeah, i think puppies are kind of the same way too, i don't what it is but that spot on the back the neck makes then go limp.

If you pick them up just right, it actually closes their airways. (That's why it's not a great thing to carry adult cats that way.) That way, their moms can carry them in silence in the wild.
I don't know why they curl up when they're held by the scruff, though...

oh, i see. so yeah, probably not a good idea for people to carry them that way.
i don't why they do that either.

Well, it's not a great thing to carry them like that for a long time--or to do it with adult cats...but at the same time, I think it relaxes the babies, because they think it's their mom hauling them around, so they know they're safe.

An animal with a snooze button... must be like belly rubs for canines

Aww, it's such a cutie when it's sleeping! Though I'd probably freak out too if that thing grabbed me, deadly poison or not!
