Another collaboration with *zombie-fingers ! I'm not sure why she keeps letting me post them. Loki and Tony's reactions are the best parts!I've been wanting to draw this since I saw the Captain America movie. At one point, Steve tells Peggy that his new metabolism is eight (?) times that of a normal human. It completely took me out of the scene because, dear god, how much food must Cap eat? I don't understand how he has time to do anything else!
In my head, Cap's basically Ron Weasley in A Very Potter Musical . Constantly eating.

I don't necessarily see Cap as a junk food junkie. On the other hand I can easily see him polishing off a "farmer's breakfast" of steak, eggs, hash browns, a few (dozen) pancakes, toast, and washing it down with a quart of milk or OJ.
Nothing like a good breakfast to start the day...
Oh, almost forgot the coffee... just a pot or two.

It's four times that of a normal human. But that is for normal routine. When outrunning cars or beating up evil supervillians, I imagine his metabolism is a lot higher. The guy probably has to go order five Mcdonald whoppers after saving the day.

For reference in Age of Ultron, Thor gave four WWII veterans (who probably been experienced drinkers) and Cap, Asgardian wine. It knock out all four instantly, but Captain America wasn't even tipsy.

Holy crap. I remember that! That sounds awesome. Once I get older that would be good at parties (my family likes to throw big parties for birthdays and there is always alcohol. Plus I'm Hispanic)

I'd see it as his metabolism can go up to 8 times faster, both for healing, digesting, dealing with poisons (alcohol), etc.
So he can eat a normal breakfast, but if he needs to burn the calories he can put them away, and put them to use. That scene of him with the punching bag should have had a couple fans so he could cool off faster, and eventually Cap does his main energy burning by going swimming.
