| First (WIP) | | Previous | | Next Retrospect | | Next Comic | |I'm liking the whole Re title pattern. It might become a thing with my Gale comics. Depends on my ability to keep coming up with Re words.
This comic isn't as prettily done as the other ones but, considering it's about little kids, I think the flat colors work.
Thanks for helping me with the title, ~HairyGoggles . And thank you, *zombie-fingers , for helping me take this comic from a boring copy to brand new art. Before, it was a literal retelling of fics , pics , and rps. This is way better.
I wanted to do this without dialog but I'm not sure Axis' pose was strong enough by itself to show what he was doing. As nice as it is to let the pictures speak for themselves, it doesn't count for much if no one gets it. Le sigh.
I told *zombie-fingers that Retrograde is a baby shaped pile of fanservice. Opinions?

This is a very good comic you have here. I can really see how Galeforce is a mother even though she's a con. I must say, Half Pint and Retrograde have to been my favorites in the bunch! Also, in the the last panel, is that her mate? I've been wondering exactly what the story and relationship between those two are.

I agree. Thank you for your time in answering my questions. I also wanted to say something that I've been holding for quite some time. It was a few months back on the picture of Galeforce and a mech. She was watching Tremors if my memory serves me right. At first it looked like they were doing something else so to speak, and I commented on my idea. I just wanted to apologize again for it since they were just using each other as a blanket.

Aww this is wonderful, I like how you made it without dialog, you really see how motherly Gale is even though she is a decepticon. Though i have to admit Retro giving the face palm for his mom is priceless. I think he's a noodle instead of a transformer because of how much he wiggles around in Gale's arms.
Yes, Retro grade is a giant baby shaped pile of fanservice heck, retrospect proved that when even one was worried about Retro when he was in his mom's arms when Tiktik attacked. And there he goes nomming his fist again

Dialog can be fun but it can be a crutch too. I enjoy periodically doing things without words.
Finding a balance with Galeforce has been a fun and admittedly long process. Too much mommy and she's a softie, too many broken souls and she's no longer kid friendly.
I totally hadn't seen it as Retro making Gale facepalm but I don't think I can unsee it now. That's hilarious.
Retrospect was a good thing for Retrograde. It made him plot important even if he himself didn't intend to motivate action.
Those other guys can handle Shatter!

Yes, I do agree. I remember some very good production comics that did not have dialog but they way it was drawn you could feel the characters emotions as they went through the silent story.
Ahhh okay, it's hard to balance characters when they are supposed to be hard yet nice yet she reminds me of a certain someone for some reason

When I was at SCAD one summer, I remember my teacher saying that beginning sequential art students weren't allowed to use dialog for ... some amount of time I don't remember. My point stands regardless. Dialog free comics are good times.

I wish I had. I've always liked the idea of Retro messing with Galeforce's face while she's trying to do stuff but I haven't done it quite as much as I'd like.

When I drew the last panel of Retrograde, I had by baby brother in mind. For a while, we'd play with him by leaning him backwards in our arms and letting him look around upside down. Unfortunately, after a while, he decided to try to play that game on his own. We'd be holding him and he'd just lean back all of a sudden. Little daredevil's lucky we didn't drop him!

Mama Gale is fun to draw. I like doing all the family stuff with her. It's hard to find the right balance. I don't want her to be too squishy but I don't want her to be too hard either. She's gone back and forth.
If I drew a comic that was only Retrograde rolling around, I bet it'd end up the most faved piece in my gallery

I imagine that would be really difficult to do because they're both pretty contradictory qualities, but I think you do a pretty good job of balancing it.
