mORE OF MY NEW SPECIES KIMONOMIMI I STILL DON'T HAVE THEIR INFO JOURNAL UP YET SO I'LL COPYPASTA FROM THE LAST ONE GOMEN...
their name stems from the shape of their ears and tails, reminiscent of a kimono's tomoeri. one collar is normal, two (an inner collar) is more uncommon. the ears are extremely soft to the touch, feeling like a top notch silk
originally they are created by sewing a magic thread into a garment with strong emotion or intent, which after three days will turn into a kimonomimi. the garment doesn't have to be a kimono, but the shape of the ears and tail remain intact. patterns/etc from the garment may produce a similar pattern on the kimonomimi. (however kimonomimi can also have natural bebes as well afterward, so not all stem from the thread).
depending on the person/desire/etc of the person who used the thread, the kimonomimi may inherit some of these traits (though not all the time).
a kimonomimi whose ears are crossed their right over left signifies that either the person who created them or they have died, and are basically ghosts. this isn't too common of an occurence, but they may stick around to finish their or their creator's unfinished business and can often create a tangible physical form of themselves (though their inner ear and tails may sometimes look transparent). stronger spirit kimonomimi's tails may look like a hitodama flame instead of a normal tail, and their eyes tend to have a bright swirl in place of a normal pupil
