A little original species I came up with. Think I'll be using it for my fursona in the future, but wanted to share ^^
Therefore this is an Open Species and anyone is allowed to duplicate it providing credit to its original source.

These little guys live in trees. Their long-fingered paws and prehensile tails make them excellent climbers. They also happen to be very intelligent, able to speak language and their problem solving skills rival apes and crows. Their colors and patterns are very diverse and individualized, as are the tufts of hair that grow from their heads. No Shimmikie has the exact same pattern as its neighbor. While their personalities vary as much as humans, they are generally a social animal, living in small groups made up of family and strangers alike. Known to create strong, lasting bonds, even with other species.
