Description
This is the movie version. The series version had too much orange and I couldn't do it with the pieces I had. I'm still waiting on the order that has light bley bar clips for the fingers. I don't know when it'll be coming in and I won't have access to my photo setup for a while.I tried to be as accurate as possible but had to change certain aspects so that it flowed well with the available Lego pieces and colors. This is fully posable and has a huge range of motion. The weakest areas are the shin guard and the teeth on the face mask, but other than those areas, this is fairly stable. The part that really doesn't show here is that the feet are distinctly left and right. They have an fairly accurate boot print as well.
I'm going to post more pictures and poses once I have the last few pieces.

Yea, good eye. I had to use some sorcery to get the red part of the wing in place. The pistol worked so well.

True, those wings look really well. The sorts of connections you use on you creations are unique. I'd really like to use them at some point, but I don't think that I could use them as accurate as you, I just don't have the experience with this kind of small detail work.

very kickass and clever, you've even managed to make those shoulder-thingies I ususally view to be silly look badass.

When I saw BML had added a deviation called "EVA Unit 02", I was surprised. When I looked at the thumbnail, I paused for a second...
"Wait... Is that made of legoes at all?"
Let me just be blunt, here.
This is mind-blowing.
Have you got any Bionicle figures to pose this next to for scale?

I was going to do a head comparison with one of the more popular/iconic bionicle mask. If I have time I'll do a full scale comparison.

Hau classic or Avohkii?
Hau Classic in red could be a good call.

Those are the 2 I was thinking of. I'll see what pieces I have and probably make a bad combination.

IF you've got the parts for an Inika or Metru build laying around, those would probably be FANTASTIC total scale references.

I was expecting someone to have at least built a micro version out of Lego, but you my good sir have taken it beyond micro with an extreme attention to detail in this full size model.
P.S. NGE is an epic anime on a low buget

I love building full scale with microscale detail. I feel that a large MOC without detail is losing out on a huge potential.

I agree. I had a three foot tall MOC of a Gundam made from normal Lego pieces but unfortunately I had t take it apart because of the amount of pieces it used and don't have a picture cause my camera just broke two days before i finished.

Looking at it, makes me think that its not a moc, but more like an actual real figure. And as always wicked!

This has fantastic techniques displayed throughout, but the shoulder-fins are what really do it for me.

If there were no fins, this wouldn't be nearly as interesting a model. The fins are everything.
