This is the very basic stuff, hopefully it helps!

Edit:
This program uses subtractive/RGB colorscheme
Red+Green = Yellow
Red+Blue = Magenta
Green+Blue = Cyan
All three full = White
All three minimized = Black
go from there and play around

Mask tool
Click on a color of a pallet you want to protect.
Click on a box with X, shows it's empty.
You'll see that color fill it - means it is masked (protected)
Click on that very box again to unmask it.
You can mask up to two colors.

Grey Bar
I said strength, but some of you may know it as opacity as well. I don't know how knowledgeable some you are

That capture work with Firefox as far as I know of. With other browsers, I think you may have to check your settings as far as allowing pop-up and opening stuff in either new window or tabs. I'm not compy savvy - so don't ask me browser technical questions.

This is thanks to - and I tried it out myself and this is how this works!

On the box with the opacity and RGB bars, if you right click it, it replaces the RGB with hsb. That is h=hue, s=saturation, b=brightness. The hue bar changes the colors (it uses the spectrum of magenta, red, yellow, green, cyan, blue). The saturation is keeping the hue pure or adding that gray color to it. The brightness is how light or dark it will be!
