What exactly does KeyShot2 do? This looks really good, but I'm not sure what you did

KeyShot is a render software. Created 3D model (with Sketch Up or 3D Studio Max or Auto CAD or ...) is raw model usual without high-res textures, shadows, complex illuminations, anti-aliasing . You can check how raw 3D model look when is not rendered by clicking on one of two links in description. More better example is my other work: [link] , raw model is here: [link]
You can see that raw model of Lamborghini don't have glossy finish, glass lucking windshield, detail shadow and reflection for instance like when is rendered...
