Description The Mach 5 from the new Speed Racer movie.

Everything is photoshop, no images were used. Took me about 5 days to complete.

I'm not exactly sure how to classify these deviations. It's essentially the same technique as vector art except I mask, shade and blur to make it photo realistic. So it's not technically an illustration since I don't draw, but it's not a photo-manip. It's closer to airbrushing. I think DA needs a new category!

Can't wait for the movie!

well, i can't do 3d modeling. but if i have good reference material i probably could something close given enough time, lol! Thanks for the 's!

I'd love to post videos here on DA, but the 60 mb upload limit makes it almost impossible. But I can make a video tutorial on how to do this if you'd like

The technique is actually pretty straight forward, very similar to vector art. I'll see if I can put something together that's not 4 hours long, lol!
