It is beautiful, just perfect. Love the sky, like it is time traveling through the generations.Β
The bird is brilliantly colored, love how the beak can be seen in two ways, forward or backward facing.
The wooden staff seemed to have lots of emotion & power.

I'm surprised that you noticed the two beaks, it's just an illusion, but I like this idea because it creates a new meaning in this work. If you noticed the wooden idol has some similarities with wooden figures from the Perm region. I thought about some of the pagan beliefs, who knows maybe I will do a picture dedicated to the primitive wooden figures. This type of folk art are always interesting to me

I love folk art & folk tales very much. I did not notice the relation to Perm wooden figures, thank you for pointing that out. I found the wood carvings lovely, whimsical was so surprised to find out they were like bad fairies.
I see the beak as forward & backward facing...kind of like us; We artist live in the present but often have our thoughts in the distant pass or far future.
