You are not mistaken. The concept of birth is the main thing in this picture.

Is this about how the Siberian Traps were formed? I learned about those during a brief introduction to geology, they never ceased to fascinate me. Truly otherworldly stuff!

Yes, you are right this topic is very mysterious and impressive. I can not even imagine how many artifacts and fossils in those places. But my picture is dedicated to the natural process of the birth of lava and the spirits of the mountains. Nothing supernatural

I saw a Dutch woman on TV last year who had spent years traveling through Mongolia on a little horse, and she finally managed to see/experience those mountain spirits, which is apparently almost impossible for a westerner because it requires the mind to stop analyzing everything all the time. Right now I'm having a deja vu experience, perhaps I told you that already. Or maybe it's the spirits messing with my mind!

Speaking of aanalysis, can you remember when I told you that the history of Kievan Rus is extremely complex? Well it is at timesΒ  when you try to make sense of the wiki pages:Β Kievan Rus' internal strife Β . I compiled that list years ago, I just found that on my kemputor, and I decided to copy it to sta.sh for you to enjoy. Or maybe I did that before as well. My mind seems close to a halting point lately I should probably go see my doctor about those tick bites I was left with after sleeping in the woods last June.

No, you did not write to me about the Dutch woman who travels through Mongolia, but I remember you wrote about Mongolia Those lands are very ancient and full of secrets, people who live there still keep the old traditions of their ancestors. They live in harmony with nature, although the life there is complicated, especially from the point of view of Westerners.

As for Kievan Rus. Sure, you mentioned this, it's not deja vu I even remember that list, you did a very important job. I remember we studied this at school, but of course not so deeply. Honestly I'm surprised you are interested in this topic. Who knows, maybe you have a memory of the past, or something like this.

I made that list because I was getting completely stuck reading those wiki pages. In fact I still find it difficult to read even with those fragments of family tree present. I don't have a mind for family relationships, I always have to think really deep about the difference between a nephew and a cousin for example. I do find it funny that Tmutarakan features twice in the same list, that must have been something of a robbers' den. What struck me most though, and I think I already told you this, is that none of those "izgoi" princes managed to hold onto the throne permanently because they lacked popular support. So apparently the commoners distrusted anyone who wasn't of the correct branch of the royal family tree, and of royal descent to begin with, no matter what promises they made and prospects they had to offer. Which means that royalty was of an importance to them which we can no longer even imagine, almost magical. But at the same time it was the people who in the end could make or break their leaders. Which sheds an interesting light on the "totalitarian dictatorship" medieval monarchy was supposed to be about.

Thanks for the kind words! I really like to use bright colors. They can be simple, but I always try to focus on it, sometimes the color can perfectly convey the hidden meaning.
