Description
The illustration for this Hacker Comics cover:
The buildings are referenced from SimCity 4, the clothing from The Matrix. It's done in curvilinear perspective with the guiding grid rendered with Blender. Drawn & painted digitally in GIMP.
And so my drawing hiatus ends. Whew.

hey, can i just ask; is there a better way of drawing the curvilinear guides than making them freehand?

Yes, I used Blender to generate the guides. Here you can see that my guides are not freehand:Β imgur.com/3Ojg3JJ
So simply use whatever 3D software you're familiar with to render the guides. I think this is the easiest way to get something completely accurate.
