Description
I realized I never posted this piece. It's fan art of the city Cosmopolis from the movie Speed Racer. Original concept art was done by George Hull (scroll down for the city scene). This is my ZX Spectrum rendition, based on a movie still.
I started making it in 2008 and finally finished it last year at GDC. It was a very on/off thing with around 100 hours total to finish it. When I saw the trailer for the movie I was immediately struck that this should totally be a ZX Spectrum scene. So yeah, that's how this happened.

While I'm unfamiliar with pixel art, I can see this took a lot of love, time, and hard work. The fact that you kept working at this for so long says something about your work ethic and diligence. Nicely done!

Haha, yeah, I guess that much is true. The latest big piece Spectropolis took the longest so far. It is many many nights attacking it piece by piece.
