Wrong artist for piece I was thinking of. See this link for Soroyama if you don't know of her.
Olivia de Berardinis is also very nice to look at.

Thanks, Roxane, for the link. I din't know Soroyama who looks to be a ‘classical’ illustrator. What I really like in your works is the humor, the irony and your way to keep your distance with your theme and to play with the ‘archetype’ of the pin-up by mixing different visual worlds… Olivia is a good classical llustrator too. But your collages belong to an another sort of art, in my opinion…

What is your opinion on "other sort". Just curious.

It’s difficult to explain with my bad english.
I only may repeat that you're playing with the pin-up's theme. You use those popular images in a funny and intelligent way. You make meet worlds which never should have meet with : Alice in Wonderland, illustrations from Jules Vernes children's novels, technical or medical images... Yes, a great part of the art of collage play with those kind of mix and surreal mix, of course…
In this case, you don't take away the sexual references, and more : your pin-up’s images often show (or sometimes add) the sexual background less or more hidden in the others pictures which are far away from the pin-up’s world. You add a distance from the basic sexual theme without erasing it : pin-up is a means to make something more. Your pin-ups invide other « planets » : those pretty women set fire to them. Sorry, but i'm not able to precisely translate in english what i think in french...
