OR When Gainax Runs Out of Ideas...For those who read it and don't get it, LCL is the orange liquid that fills the entry plugs in the Evangelions. And if you still don't get it, you obviously haven't seen Evangelion or FLCL.
And this page proves that I'm never going to be a full-fledged comic artist because this took forever for me to do (pretty much all day, yesterday). >_>; I was going to have cheap backgrounds and the characters were going to be shaded, but I lost interest and left it this way.

And YES. Naota is a Shinji rehash. XD;; Just like how Sasshi (from Gainax's Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai) is a Naota rehash. ::needs to draw all three boys in one group picture somedayβ¦::
Oh man, I feeeeel your pain on the creation of this comic. It looks like you drew the entire thing in Photoshop 7 using nothing BUT the brush tool. @_@; It's sickeningly more efficient to draw by hand first and scan, or else learn vectors.

I think I love you now because you've seen Abenobashi. <3 But I think Sasshi is cooler than Naota because he has a cowboy hat and he had a crush on his granny for a while.
I actually tried doing this in pencil first, but it turned out much better (and more complete haha) when I did it in Photoshop. And it's not too painful considering I have a tablet soo... But I probably should try out vectors more. Thanks for the comment though.

Yessss, the tablet's crucial for that level of computer work. =_=; And hotkeys are a BIG time-saver too. ::has recently trained his left hand to sit squarely over the "B", "X", & "E"::
