Description
From Wikipedia:"New Slains Castle is a ruined castle near Cruden Bay in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, overlooking the North Sea.
The remains stand perched atop tall, sea-facing cliffs, constructed around an existing tower house built in 1597 by the 9th Earl of Erroll. Significant reconstruction of the castle has been carried out a number of times, lastly in 1837. It was altered in 1664 when a corridor was inserted within the courtyard and again in 1836 it was rebuilt and granite faced. At one time it had three extensive gardens."
Took 1000 photos at this place today, but I've barely sorted through any of them. This is a 40-image, 360° panorama. Rather big.

Does anyone know why colours look so bad in web browsers? I'd thought that saving files as .png would counter-act this problem, but it hasn't done. The colours in this image look SO much nicer in Photoshop than they do once they're uploaded here.

Never mind, it's because web browsers - for some unknown and undoubtedly terrible reason - use sRGB instead of Adobe RGB.

I like the other one better as a whole, but what I like about this one is the glare of the sun behind the castle, it's a nice touch.

I like this picture, but not as much as the other view. I think that the light bloom detracts somewhat from the image. The other image better captures the rugged nature of the site, I think.

Well I always try to have some variety in the photos I submit here. I see galleries with nothing but photos of forests or whatever, but I prefer not to have two very similar things (at least not one right after another). I really only use DA as somewhere I can access my photos if I'm ever away from home, I certainly don't expect to get any recognition on the site.
I took 1000 photos at this castle, and rather foolishly submit this one here after only combing through the first hundred or so. In the end I liked the other one better, so this one goes to scraps.
