Another quick model sheet for my Carrie Kelley/Robin Beyond design. This time around I wanted to see what she looked like in civvies, since Frank never really drew here out of costume.I wanted her to look slightly geeky, with perhaps a slight look of the mechanically inclined...though I must confess that I ended up stealing most of the outfit from HL2's Alyx Vance...so sue me.
EDIT: Made a few quick tweaks to the costume and the colours, nothing major and changed the Robin mask/helmet to show how it opens.

happy i'm not the only one to think of this! iΒ wonder how she and Terry would work together would be cool if the new comics did an arc incorporating more Dark Knight Returns elements intoΒ the Beyond universeΒ like a "gang worse than the jokerz" forming (the Mutants) and Carrie becomeing Terry's RobinΒ and some of that returns lingo being used which i am surprised they didn't use any of in the first place

No, but I did jot down some broad character notes for most of them a few years back. You can probably still find it in my journal.

I definitely think this is a great design, you've actually made the possibility of her as Robin believable here (as great as DKR was, her character essentially said that any old kid could go out on the streets in a costume and fight crime, for one she wasn't given any real training by Batman like the other Robin's).

Yeah, Frank bless him was a little scant and on character background and very simplistic when it comes to motivations.
Still I think the point at the time was that it didn't matter how or why she became Robin and by extension point out the absurdity of teenage sidekicks. At least that's my interpretation.
But I'm not Frank, so I need to have a little more dimension to a character if she's supposed to do more than just hit things.

Well, I think by comparison Dick Grayson actually makes some slight sense in that he grew up an acrobat and so he would naturally be physically fit for training.
But yes, that could easily have partially been the reason why she was included.
And regarding the last comment, are you going to post detailed bio's on each of your designs

Writing isn't my strong suit, but someone who writes fan fic recently asked for the bio info on the Birds of Prey characters and I was surprised when I had quite a bit to say about them. So I might just add a little blurb with each character.
