Description
So I came up with this while l was in the hospital after the surgeon gave me a thirty percent chance of walking again. It was a way to try to focus and use my rock hard stubbornness to try to work for me. If anyone was wondering why I haven't been posting anything for the last month that would be why. I barely got out a few days ago and even though I have a long way to go I am going to keep working towards my goal

Hiya! Thank you, yeah it was pretty serious I had to have spine surgery because I had a growth squeezing my t10 section of the spine and I lost all movement in my legs because of it.
That said I am out of the hospital and slowly recovering. I still need a wheelchair but I can walk a bit with a walker so things are looking up

Damn, that sounds really, really serious...
If you can walk with the assistance of a walker then that is extremely good news,
there is always hope, recovery will be slow but hopefully you will be able to walk again unassisted.
I can't do much but I will send you all the positive energy I can. Here is hoping you will regain the ability to
walk unassisted.

Yes I have to be thankful for a very good surgeon and hospital and overall the best of luck in a very crummy situation. I am trying to be patient with the recovery and just be grateful that there was improvement at all.

It's the least I can do, I just hope your recovery goes smoothly and as you said, try to be patient with
your recovery and try to maintain a positive mindset.
Don't believe in a god per se but I found myself praying for you the other night, which was a really weird thing for me to do but
I hope that in some small way it helps towards your recovery.
Things are fine on my end, can't really complain about anything, thank you for asking!

I am still in a wheelchair but I am back home. I can walk a little with a walker and it's a bit better each day

I sure hope things improve. I've had a number of issues with my knee where I couldn't walk for various spans of time and it was awful. As it is, I used to be a runner, but I can't do that any more. Not saying its the same (either part), but I do understand how it is to be unable to walk. I'm glad you can get around with a walker, though I certainly hope things improve.

I cycle now. Its lower impact, and the movement helps keep the joint lubricated. It might not be the same, but I enjoy it. I hope in time you'll find things that might help fill the gap even if they aren't quite what you lost. I'm so sorry this has happened to you, and I wish you the best, whatever form that takes.

That is great that you found something to substitute for running and keeping active is always a good idea. I plan to keep working towards walking better and better and this time around keeping active myself. I am sure I will find good things along the way.
