Okay, moving on with my other picture series, the Hanson Theme Challenge, we have a song off their album "Middle of Nowhere" called "Yearbook"

For those who don't know, I'm drawing pictures based off Hanson songs, Hanson being my all-time and forever favorite band and my biggest inspiration in life. I think music inspires us in everything we do, including art, which is why I took up this challenge.

Anyway, this song is one the Hansons never performed until they recorded "Middle of Nowhere Acoustic" on the tenth anniversary of the release of "Middle of Nowhere" ...ten years, and they never once played this song live, and it was always a favorite of mine. I love the song because the Hanson brothers were homeschooled the entire way growing up, so to have them write a song that has it in a classroom setting is just too cool.

Now they play this song a lot ^^ they played it at the last concert I was at in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on May 6th, again, the anniversary of "Middle of Nowhere" this time the 11th one.

Before I explain the picture, (and the genius idea behind it if I do say so myself) here are the lyrics.

I love the song <3 Okay, the idea behind the song is pretty simple. There's a fellow member that's gone missing without a trace. One day, they all showed up, and he was gone, with no explanation as to where he went or why he even left? Even a year later, his classmates are still tormented by it all, wondering if maybe they were the ones to blame.

This song proved daunting at first for an idea, then it hit me. There's a beloved Sonic character that's gone missing from the series and hasn't been seen since. That's right, Mighty the Armadillo. The fact that his name kinda rhymes with the chosen name for the song, Johnny, was just perfect...not to mention that Amy's name is in the song X3

I love the Hansons ^^

Okay, so I saw it this way. Put all the characters in school, and give them the same situation as the song. One day, their classmate Mighty disappears without a trace, and no one it seems can tell them why. What kills them is they know that somebody has to know something, and they just wish they knew what happened.

So about the picture, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles are walking home, where even a year later they still talk about him from time to time. It's a difficult thing, because they miss him...they didn't even get the chance to say goodbye, and while they didn't know him as well as they would have liked, it hurts that they didn't get the chance to. They feel betrayed in some way.

Obviously, the silhouette is Mighty's. It's the first time I've tried to drawn him in some way so be nice. (It's just a good thing it's just a blackened outline X3) I put Knuckles in a black tank top and black slacks, and Tails in a blue t-shirt and denim shorts. Amy came out the best here I think...if it weren't for her left hand, the one holding the strap of her bag, that is.

The walking motion of them all isn't perfect. I didn't want to put too much detail into the path they're walking, and it has it's errors here and there. One again, Knuckles' right eye is messed up, again, Amy's left hand is messed up, the knuckle-claws on Knux could have been better, and I mess up Tails' socks. I really don't care though. I love the picture ^^
