Another superheroine was spotted in The City! Flying around, patrolling from the sky, swooped in and out to save the citizens of The City, beating thugs, mafia, corrupt cops, and monster alike. Nobody knew who she was behind the mask, but she introduced herself as Merlin. It's not clear whether it's a codename or her actual name. And no one actually knew why a superheroine who can fly, and have super strength, brought a standard-issued Glock 22 handgun with rubber bullets.

The people of The City didn't known much about her background. For what everyone can see, she can fly as fast as helicopter while also hovering in the sky. She can lift and throw about 3 tones of objects. Bullets can stagger her but they wouldn't wound her. And her purple eyes can see and notice movements from several city blocks away like a hawk watching her preys.

She also rarely appear during the day, except on Saturday and Sunday, so people can only guess that she had a daily job in her civilian life. But if she was, how could no one notice her in her daily job? After all, purple hair would stand out among the people of The City.

The truth is, Merlin was just a normal human. All the superpower she has was came from the suit, which she was inherited from her late mother. But even she never knew where her mother got the suit from, or what it is actually, or even whether her mother used it before. What she knew was that the suit granted her super strength and durability, a sight that can see far and even in darkness, and ability to fly. The purple hair and purple eyes? Hair dye and contact lenses.

However, she honestly didn't care about the origin of the suit. Because, you see, Merlin was an idealistic woman. As long as she can help the people of The City, she's fine with that. She trained herself in martial arts and shooting to better equip herself for the situations she was gonna plunged herself in: being a superheroine in The City.

And so it begin. The idealistic woman with the very black-and-white views of morality had become an idealistic superheroine. With the suit given to her, Merlin patrol The City as one of the superheroine protecting everyone living in it. She's sweet, polite, and so the people of The City quickly like her. But she never stay long enough in the scenes that she helped. Because of that, the authority, whether the good ones or the corrupts ones, wanted to bring her in for questioning. Some of them even suspicious of her and wanted her off the streets. But she didn't care, she just want to help the people.

Motivated by her ideal of a superhero, Merlin tried to do good with the superpower she had. However, her idealistic nature can be her downfall too, when exploited by her enemies....

Merlin is a species of carnivorous bird with Latin name Falco columbarius, which is a close family to falcon. In fact, Merlin was also known as pigeon hawk.
