okay so, this is a new thing that DA is doing, and its just a new way to pay in pointsThis is the ONLY way i want to be paid in points.
dont "give" me points dont "donate" points...just do it this way!!
if you commissioned me for points, i will upload the picture, and on the right hand side of your uploaded commission will be the "purchase" bar. all you have to do is click that, save your picture and the points will transfer to me automatically
this is why i ask for you to pay me AFTER ive finished the commission...because i need to uploaded it first
if you have any questions about it please feel free to ask
if you send me points anyway through giving them to me or donating them to me and paying me before im done, i will send them back

Another question ... does dA take their usual 20% of your earings this way, like when using the commission widget?

they do. so the usual value of a dollar in points is $1=80 points. so in order to make up for the loss many people that pay this way just round up. so instead of saying something is 80 points theyll say its 100 to make it a dollar to them.

Out of curiosity, why do you dislike the donate option? And is it possible for a random person to simply right click + save a drawing, before the commissoner is able to properly pay you?

when someone just donates the points to me, i just recieve the points. and i dont really buy anything or use points at all so theyre sorta useless to me. but, by doing the "pay for download" thingy, the points are automatically changed to actual money. so i wont receive points but ill receive their money equivalent. and then i can transfer that money to my paypal :] so thats why i prefer doing it this way rather than people donating them.
and yes that is very possible. however, when you just right click the image and save it. youll either only get 1 frame of the icon, or the background of that icon is not transparent. it shows up black. so i guess if people want that and theyre not willing to pay...i suppose they could do that...but then id hunt them down and send my little watcher army on them and have them reported for stealing from me. id give them full warning of course before i just let people go and attack haha. but ive never had any issues with it as of now n_n <3
