For those of you who don't what the heck Robot Wars is, It was a UK show that aired from 1998 up until 2004 and is making a return this year, 2016. The show involved around teams which were referred to as "Roboteers" that build radio controlled robots and used them to fight each other in the arena while avoiding hazards and more powerful, hostile robots known as "House Robots".Following the fact that Robot Wars is FINALLY returning, BBC announced that the original house are coming back...except for Sgt Bash, so in other words for the new show, it's going to be just Shunt, Matilda, Sir Killalot and Dead Metal, leaving Sgt bash with the other (mediocre) house robots from the old show such as CASSious Chrome.
Sorry for not posting much on DA...I haven't in a good mood nor have I been myself for the past week...hope I can get myself feel all better because I've got exams and stuff coming in the following months.
Sgt. Bash, Refbot and Cassius Chrome as well as the robot wars brand belongs to the BBC

I was pretty fobbed off to find that Sgt Bash won't be a part of the new series, since he was my favourite as a child. It's probably a health and safety thing. It sucks that there hasn't been any sign of Refbot either, he wasn't just cosmetic, he had very important roles as a mobile camera, a fire extinguisher, and visceral clean-up.

Yeah, though I don't think it's because of health and safety since in the live events Major Damage has a flamethrower and so does some of the competitors in the new Battlebots. I strongly believe that they want to start off with just 4 house robots like in the 1st series (back then, it was just Sgt. Bash, Dead Metal, Matilda and Shunt. Sir Killalot made his debut in the 2nd series) which is rather true after seeing this comment from the official robot wars facebookΒ www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbiβ¦

well the thing Sgt. Bash was one of the Original 5 house robots. It dosen't really matter if you don't have Mt psycho, growler or Cassius chrome the first five house robots are essential to the show. However I can deal with only 4 for the new seriesΒ

yep pile of crap it has punching things that do nothing, maybe again when amor was like wood or tin or fiberglass fine but in that war everything was thick steel or carbon fiber

i really do think that it was made by the channel 5 guys who have never see robot wars unless they got like the magazine from 98' ish which had a free CD rom an they watched the clips and said "yes our robot will be better!"
yeah i was excited to see bot wars again got some blank VHS tapes erady to record and i stopped after 3 eps the reason(s)
1/ new annoying presenter that would be better on a normal channel 5 porn docuemty or something odd not robot wars
2/ WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SHOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?!?! before the break just show us who vs who and maybe a clip on the mini or lil bots but not showing us that that root flips him out of the ring!
3/ errrr okay who let the metenaily un-well bot on here? THAT'S A HOUSE BOT?!?!
one good thing is by this time the floor spinner was gone that was just rubbish

Poor Sgt. Bash. He was Always underrated but with his pincers caused much more damages than Killalot and Dead Metal... I would have liked to see an improved version of it maybe with a 0 ground clearance and a drill or a saw in place of the flamethrower. Sigh, it was my fav House Robot.
By the way, I like the drawing: you made Refbot very similar and same goes for Bashie. Cassius Chrome...LOL...he's born withΒ the beaten up troll face.

It's just that Sgt. Bash was one of the original five house robots, though you could argue that Sir Killalot doesn't count cause he didn't show until the 2nd wars but he was the face of the series.
Hopefully if the new Robot Wars show does become a success, they might bring bash Sgt. Bash for the future~!

My order of favorites of House Robots was: 1) Sergeant Bash 2) Matilda 3) Dead Metal 4) Shunt 5) Mr. Psycho 6) Sir Killalot and I never gave any importance to Growler, Refbot and Cassius Chrome.

Well I actually liked growler and I didn't mind refbot but Cassius Chrome....yeah he was born with a beaten up troll face xD
