So I'm super excited for Nintendo's upcoming E3. Sure, there won't be the usual digital event but there WILL be a full day of them streaming the new Zelda game. FINALLY! Everyone's been waiting to see this game for two years! I'm excited. You excited? I am excited!

I was thinking about what kind of companion this game could have and I was reminded of the companions from Windwaker (namely Medli and Makar) who have been my favorite zelda companions largely because they weren't tutorial bots but were characters that, due to circumstances, needed to adventure with me. They were just as lost as I was in dungeons and success lay in working together. I found myself getting attached to them far faster than Fi, Midna, or Navi.

So I had the idea of what if Zelda actually explored temples and dungeons with you, instead of waiting to be saved. Not entirely sure how it would work in terms of game mechanics, but it did inspire this little painting nonetheless.

... I'll probably find some horrifying mistake in this and ninja fix it later.
