Description
Giving my favorite boi a proper redesign!Inquisitor Atlas is one of the main antagonists within the story that I am working on and plan to publish... some day... some day it'll be a thing.
Atlas himself has popped up multiple times in my gallery with an older, more archaic design. Now, he looks like a proper technologically advanced villain.

He'll just activate his lantern shield without the spike to block you off, while his Storm Troopers escort you off for interrogation. And he'll move on with his day, briefly confused.

Damn, that is an amazing style and a nice update on the character. Also can't help but notice the Lantern Shield that you gave him which is actually kinda awesome to see a character using.

I'm very glad you noticed he had a Lantern Shield.
It's such an unknown and underappreciated weapon/shield and fits with Atlas's personality well of unorthodox weapons and techniques.

That makes sense. I do like it when a character is given an underappreciated or obscure weapon to make them stand out from others.

He originally had a Rapier paired with a Uchigatana and Wakizashi. And while that does fit with his Samurai Aesthetic, I felt that Katana's were a bit to overused.
So his melee weapon is now Kriegsmesser and Sword Breaker dagger until he replaces them with the hardlight saber you see in this picture.

Yeah, that's understandable. An unusual pairing with the short sword and dagger, but I'd admit that's an interesting idea for a character who also makes use of the Lantern Shield.

I wouldn't call the Kriegsmesser a Short Sword. It's the two handed saber variant.
As for the lantern shield, it's made out of hardlight, which means that under enough continuous stress it would shatter in time and requires to recharge before it could be reformed.

Oh! Sorry, thought you said Katzbalger. My bad, through that is a nice sword of choice for the character and I do love the detail about what the Lantern Shield is made of and how it works.

The Kriegsmesser is an underappreciated sword in my opinion. Which is a shame as I think it's one of the best saber swords out there.
I'm going to make it so that the science is there behind all the fictional technology, so devices like hardlight projectors will have a set of rules that needs to be followed by the story.
In the case of Hardlight, it can be shattered like any other solid material and requires its energy reserve to recharge before it can make a second copy of the shape it needs to take.

My thoughts as well. For the record, this wasteland is set four hundred years in the future, the apocalypse starting in the late years of the 22nd century.
The technology would naturally be very advanced by this point, but the apocalypse saw the loss of much of that tech, leaving only a few factions to possess the highest forms of tech.

Oh I have done much more than just that.
Truth is, I believe that a successful story needs a detailed background and a set of rules to follow first before you can start getting to the main story.
